The hydrofoil of new generation was presented in Yakutks

On May 23, the Director for Innovative development, marketing and foreign trade of JSC “R.E.Alexeev’s Hydrofoil Design Bureau” presented the river passenger hydrofoil of new generation “Valdai 45R” at the meeting with the Ministry of transport and road facilities.

In the Republic of Sakha the extent of socially important routes is more than 7 thousand kilometers, which are operated by passenger high-speed vessels. Annually passenger river transport transport over 300 thousand people (a third of the population of the republic) that is be illustrative of high demand of services of the river transportation and its social importance in ensuring mobility of the population.

There is a tendency of the fleet’s wear in Yakutia: the average age of the operated water transport is 38 years, while the standard is 25 years, that is why there is an important question about the replacement of the vessel to the modern types, such as hydrofoil “Valdai 45R”. 

“Valdai 45R” is designed and is being built by our company at our own manufacturing. The vessel is design for high-speed passenger transportation (up to 45 people) on the navigable rivers with the speed of 65 km/hour for the range of up to 400 km.

It should be noted that this is a first modern project on the design of new high-speed river passenger hydrofoil for more than 25 years, which integrates the high level of comfort for passengers and members of crew, considerable economic advantages to carriers, high level of ecological safety for the environment.
